Once you have a copy of our events decide which one(s) you wish to attend. Fill out the short form on the back of the flier and send it to
us along with the appropriate deposit. We will return to you a confirmation letter verifying you seat on the tour as well as a more complete registration form.
If paying by check, make it payable to HINZE CIVIL WAR TOURS. You are not registered into a tour until you receive confirmation from us.
The balance on your tour is due 60 days prior to the starting date of the tour. If you are registering inside the 60 day window the entire amount is required with your registration.
If you wish to pay by credit card please complete the appropriate section on the forms. We will notify you before we bill your card for the balance due on the tour 60 days before the starting date.
We aim to please
Our goal is to put on a successful tour. We will do this by accurately describing the event and the services offered in our brochures. We will provide you with expert historians or guides. We are a company that listens to you and tries to accommodate your needs whenever possible.
Hotel Accommodations
On our shorter tours of one to two days our clients are responsible for arranging and paying for their own lodging. On tours where we provide the lodging as part of the tour package the price of the tour is based on double occupancy, meaning shared accommodations.
Some single rooms will be available, but at a higher price. If you are traveling alone and would prefer to not to pay extra for a single room, please enclose a a note with your registration. We will try to accommodate you in a double occupancy situation with another traveler of the same sex. Should we not be able to find someone for you to share a room with, you will be charged the single room charge.
Our responsibilities
We accept the responsibility for ensuring that the services with we contract to provide are supplied and to a reasonable standard, unless prevented by circumstances beyone our control. Some of these include war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute or accident, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, and similar conditions beyond our control.
We cannot be held responsible for unforseen delays such as accidents, inoperable weather, etc. Any extra cost will be incurred to the traveler. We will do all possible to protect the interests of our clients.
Cancellation policy
If you or a memeber of your party is forced to cancel your registration, the party who made the registration must notify us in writing. Cancellation is only effective from the date your letter is received in our office. If you cancel at any time we will keep a $25 administrative fee.
Cancellation prior to 60 days will receive a full refund, less the administrative charge. Past that date a $100 fee will be charged plus any additional hotel or supplier expenses which cannot be recovered. Once the tour begins, no refunds will be made.
Conditions of carriage
Our tours use reputable coach carriers. When traveling with them, the respective conditions carriage applies.
Travel methods
The size of our group will determine the type of vehicle the group travels in. Some of our one and two day events will small numbers will travel by 15-passenger van. Our longer tours that involve much long distance traveling will travel by motorcoach.
